James Carter Taylor, 47, of Hamilton, OH, formerly of Stopover, KY, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, OH. He was born September 20, 1970 in Cincinnati, OH, a son of Edith Ferrell Taylor of Stopover, KY & the late Jonah Taylor. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother: David Arnold.
James was a handyman, he worked as a general laborer and in carpentry. He loved music, NASCAR, & was a Bengals football fan. He was a very nice guy who would help anyone. He had a carefree spirit. He was a God-loving man who believed in the power of the Lord. He attended Freeburn and Stopover Church of God.
In addition to his mother Edith, James is survived by two daughters: Jamie Taylor of Goshen, OH, Stephanie (William) Mason of Hamilton, OH; two brothers: Rodney (Michelle) Taylor of Cincinnati, OH, Jonah Taylor of Stopover, KY; two grandchildren: Aubree Jones, Journee Taylor, both of Goshen, OH; along with a host friends & family to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, February 18th at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverends Harold Layne and Denny Land officiating.
Burial will follow in the Frank Robinett Cemetery, Stopover, KY.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with special services at 7:00 P.M.
