Betty Stiltner Obituary

Betty Jean Stiltner, 83, of Newport, TN passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Wellington Manor, Newport, TN.  She was born November 12, 1934 in Coleman, KY, a daughter of the late Perry and Della Stump Casey.  In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her first husband Ray Smith and second husband Eugene Stiltner; two sons: Danny Ray & Ricky Dean Smith; one daughter: Della Rhea Smith; two brothers: Willie & Willis Casey; four sisters: Myrtle & Melda Smith, Mildred Casey and Ann Bowen; and one grandson: Randall Ray Smith.

Betty Jean was a homemaker and had worked various jobs in her lifetime.  She was of the Holiness faith and devoted many years of service, working in the church.  When she was younger, she enjoyed cooking and loved to travel. 

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons: Jerry Lee (Dixie) Smith of Morristown, TN & Mike Randall Smith of Middlesboro, KY; one brother: Perry (Lossie) Casey of Bean Station, TN; one sister: Cora Wagner of Phelps, KY; three grandchildren: Jerry Christopher Smith of Johnson City, TN, Jamie Wolford of Phelps, KY and Michael Patrick (Janette) Smith of Unicoi, TN, and one great grandson on the way.  Betty Jean also leaves a host of family & friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Gooslin Bottom Pentecostal Church of God with reverends Marvin Casey, Benny Freeman and Charles Casey officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ray Smith Cemetery, Phelps, KY with family & friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Friday in the chapel of Jones & West Funeral Home and then on Saturday at the Gooslin Bottom Pentecostal Church of God with services nightly at 7:00 P.M.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY.  The guestbook may be signed at www.joneswestfh.com.
