Dock Lee Daniels

Dock Lee Daniels, 71, of Majestic, KY, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Hurley, VA.  He was born June 30, 1946 at Majestic, KY, a son of the late Ruddo and Alta Cisco Daniels.  In addition to his parents, Dock was also preceded in death by his wife: Betty Jewel Wolford Daniels.

Dock was a former surface mining foreman, and a member of the Majestic Church of Christ.  He was also a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Freeburn, KY.  Dock was a deputy sheriff for many years and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.  He could often be found at Hornet’s, his “home away from home”.  Dock was a dedicated family man and loving grandfather of his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include three sons: Johnny (Kim) Daniels & David (Lisa) Daniels of Hurley, VA, Todd (Beth) Daniels of Freeburn, KY; three brothers: John (Michelle) Daniels of Woodman, KY, Perry (Sharon) Daniels of Vulcan, WV and Albert “Hoss” (Phyllis Ann) Daniels of McCarr, KY;  seven grandchildren: Derreck, Matthew, James, J.D., Ruthanna, Chris, & Natalee; three great-grandchildren: Jase, Bentley, & Brooklyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 23, 2018 in the chapel of the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY with Odis Blankenship & Marshall Daniels officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hurley-Wolford Cemetery, Stopover, KY with family & friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home with special services Sunday at 7:00 P.M.
