Donna Jean Matthews

Donna Jean Matthews, 58, a resident of Varney, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born March 22, 1961 in Welch, WV, a daughter of the late Leroy & Nellie “May” Hall.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Crystal Dawn May, and one brother: Kos Cline.

Donna was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother & friend.  She was also a homemaker and loved cooking.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband: Bo Matthews of Varney, WV; two sons: Casey Matthews, Marshall (Carla) Matthews; one daughter: Teresa (Mike) Robinette; one brother: Tim (Edith) May, all of Varney, WV; one sister: Debra (Buddy) Gannon of Phelps, KY; five grandchildren: Erika, Red, Bubby, Gavin, Emily; and a host of nieces & nephews.  Donna also had a host of friends & will be sadly missed by all. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Odis Blankenship & Buddy Gannon officiating.  Following the services, cremation will take place in honor of Donna Jean’s request.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with special services at 7:00 P.M.
