Sally Scott Obituary

Sally Ann Scott, 52, of Phelps, KY departed this life on July 21st, 2019.  She was born January 21st, 1967 in Phelps, a daughter of Sivil Scott the late George Washington Scott.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Looney; and one sister: Janice Sue Scott Young.

Sally was a kind soul and a free spirit who attracted love everywhere she went.  She enjoyed gardening and nature, learning and trying new things, being creative in any way she could, being near her friends and family, and bringing people together, especially in the name of art. Painting had been her passion since she was just a child, and she pursued her passion all her life; leading her to once have her own gallery in Pikeville and being very well known for her talent. Although she had no children, she was herself a child-at-heart and went through life with eager eyes and a hopeful heart. She cared for all children, any and all animals, and valued life at every level down to the flowers and the trees. Sally loved to laugh and was always happy to have a good time with good people. She will be remembered always with the brightest shades of green and the spirit of happiness.

Those left to honor her memory include her mother: Sivil Scott of Phelps, KY; three brothers: Kenis, Green, & Alda Scott all of Phelps, KY; five sisters: Helen Slone & Lillie Marie Smith both of Phelps, KY, Brenda L. (Bill) Middleton of Michigan, Maggie M. (Ronnie) Sanson of Phelps, KY, Lula (Ray) Jarrett of Hampton, TN, & a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In honor of her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering of family & friends will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday, July 26th, 2019 in the chapel of the Jones & West Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, KY.  The guestbook may be signed at www.joneswestfh.com.
