Danny Keith Miller

Danny Keith Miller of Phelps, KY departed this life Monday August 3, 2020 following a long illness. He was at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born July 5, 1951 in Williamson, WV the son of, the late Reverend Dorse and Sella “Hayes” Miller. He was 69 years old.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Danny was a retired coal miner. He worked in the coal industry for nearly 25 years having worked for Chisholm Coal and Caney Branch Coal. He was also a member of the UMWA and was a mason and a member of the 928 Thomas De Vinney Lodge of Freeburn, KY. Danny was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of the Pentecostal faith and attended church every Sunday until he became ill. He was always smiling and put a smile on the faces of all who knew him.

Survivors remaining to honor his memory include his loving wife of 46 years: Wilma Jean “Rice” Miller, a son: Gregory Keith (Jennifer) Miller of Majestic, KY, a daughter: Wanda (William) Collins of Canada, KY, a brother: Arthur Miller of Prestonsburg, KY, three sisters: Shirley Maynard of Majestic, KY, Geneva Dollar of Petersburg, VA and Vivian Rudowiczs of Covington, KY,  special sister-in-law: Brenda Coleman of Freeburn, KY, grandchildren: Derek Collins and his fiancé Kaitlyn Vance of Phelps, KY, Summer Collins of Canada, KY, Justin and Brandon Miller of Majestic, KY and Brittany Collins of Bloomington, IN.

Danny is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday August 9, 2020 at 12:30 P.M. at the Freeburn Church of God with the Pastor Denny Land and Benjamin Miller officiating.
