David Wright

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of David “Kroo” Wright 62, of Phelps, Ky.  He passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at his residence.   David was born January 7, 1959.   He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee “Murl” and Imogene Wright. 

David was a member of Gooslin Bottom Pentecostal Church.  He was a dozer operator for many years.  David loved deer hunting and riding his Harley.  He had a warm smile that would light up the room.  He loved people and always was willing to help anyone in need.  Most of all, David loved spending time with his family. 

David leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Debbie Wright of Phelps, Ky.  Two daughters, Linda Wolford of Kimper, Ky. and Missy Walters, of Georgetown, Ky.  Two Brothers, Kevin, and Randall Wright both of Phelps, Ky.   Special niece and nephew, Stacy Dotson, of Phelps, Ky., and Brayden Ray also of Phelps, Ky.  Four Grandchildren; Dylan and Kaylea Wolford of Kimper, Ky.  Blake Bailey and Kylea Walters of Georgetown, Ky.  David will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

The family will start receiving friends at 6:00 P.M., Monday, December 20, 2021, and Tuesday December 21, 2021, at Gooslin Bottom Pentecostal Church.  Special services Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. with Brother Benny Freeman officiating.  Funeral Service will be at 12:00 P.M. Noon, Wednesday, December 22, 2021.   According to his wishes, Cremation will follow his funeral service.  Arrangements are under the direction of Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps, Ky.  Our guestbook may be signed at www.joneswestfh.com
