Ricky Thomas Smith

Ricky Thomas Smith 57, of Pinsonfork, Ky., passed away March 6th, 2023 in Lexington at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.  He was born July 11th, 1965, at Williamson, WV. to the late Thomas Smith Jr. and Opal Marie “Runyon” Smith.  Ricky is also preceded by one brother, Donnie Ray Smith and grandson, Logan Farmer.

Ricky was an outstanding mechanic and carpenter.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars.  Ricky had a big heart and loved to help people.  He adored his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Ricky leaves behind his loving wife, Joyce Smith; children, Belinda Shae Myrick of Texas; Cassie Marie Smith Gobble of Pinsonfork, Ky; and Bethany Leann Smith of Blackberry; brothers, Arnie Lee (Cathy) Smith of Jeffersonville, Ky; Tunis James Smith of Sidney, Ky; and William Edward (Aimee) Smith of McAndrews, Ky; grandchildren, Makinley and Cayden Farmer.  Two very special friends Tiny Blackburn, and TJ May and his wife he considered as a brother and their children, Bristol, Alixandria, and Boston.  A host of nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends at 6:00 P.M. Friday, March 10th, 2023, at Pinsonfork Church of God with special services beginning at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Rick Shelby officiating.  Cremation will follow services.
