Ronnie Blackburn Obituary

Ronnie Blackburn of Sidney, KY passed away Thursday March 18, 2021 at Baptist Health Lexington of Lexington, KY. He was born January 02, 1949 at Pikeville, KY the son of the late Homer and Agnes “Crigger” Blackburn. He was 72 years old.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: William Earl Blackburn and Bernis Blackburn.

Ronnie worked for the Kentucky Highway Department for 21 years. In addition to working, he was mostly a homebody who was an exceptionally talented musician, especially playing the guitar.

He is survived by one brother, Randy Blackburn of Kimper, KY, and a host of extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Big Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Hatfield, KY on Tuesday March 23, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Gary Blackburn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery of Sidney, KY.

Visitation will be at 12:30-1:00 P.M.
