Charlida Casey Obituary

Charlida Lynn Casey, 52, of Phyllis, KY, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was born May 30, 1965, a daughter of the late Dodge & Leoda Coleman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Dodge Coleman Jr.; one sister: Sharon Wolford; and two nephews: Jarrett Daniels & Zachary Birmingham.

Charlida was an individual of feisty character who was loved very much by her family and considered very special to them. She cherished the time she had with her baby Mikah Nicole. Charlida also enjoyed squirrel & deer hunting with her husband Danny and liked digging ginseng & cohosh. She was of the Christian faith.

Charlida’s memory will live on through her husband: Danny Casey of Phyllis, KY; three sons: Danny Dwayne Casey of Kimper, KY, Michael Casey of Phyllis, KY, Joshua (Donetta) Casey of Phelps, KY; one daughter: Amie (Bo) Skeens of Phyllis, KY; one brother: Grant Coleman of Majestic, KY; three sisters: Lucille (Elvis) Hardin of Stopover, KY; Liddie (Brian) Daniels of Feds Creek, KY; Jeanetta (Greg) Birmingham of Alabama; six grandchildren and two on the way; special friends: Donetta Casey, Jennifer Cantrell, Luther Smith, Greg Smith, Terry Thorpe; and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Monday, May 21, 2018 in the chapel of the Jones & West Funeral Home with Rev. Richard McKinney officiating.

Burial will follow in the Casey & Daniels Family Cemetery, Smith Fork, Phelps, KY with Robert Daniels, Chrissy Thomas, Henry Daniels, Danny Dwayne Casey, Joshua Casey, Terry Casey and Brian serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with special services by Rev. Michael Casey at 7:00 P.M.
