Christine Stiltner

Christine Stiltner, 80, of Stopover, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Good Sheppard Community Nursing Center in Phelps, KY.  She was born April 29, 1939, in Majestic KY, a daughter of the late J.C. Sanson Sr. & Polly (Robinette) Sanson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Stiltner; one son: Jerry “Butchie” Stiltner; one brother: J.C. (Jimmy Lee) Sanson; one sister: Ethel Emogene Sanson; & one granddaughter: Cynthia Stiltner.

Christine was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and sitting out on the porch in her pastime.  She was a very loving mother and grandmother to all her children.

Those left to honor her memory include two sons: Randy (Doris) Stiltner of Kimper, KY, Dean (Julie) Stiltner of Maryville, TN; three daughters: Sheree Prater of Stopover, KY; Tiffany Layne of Phelps, KY, Sabrina Layne of Majestic, KY; one brother, Raymond Sanson of Majestic, KY; nine grandchildren: Randy (Brandy) Stiltner of Berry, KY; Matthew Combs of Lexington, KY; Donnie Brandon Lell of Stopover, KY; Dillon Stiltner of Maryville, TN; Tommy Stiltner of Georgetown, KY; Jonathan Stiltner of Cynthiana, KY; Jayden Robinson of London, KY; Jessica Coleman of Georgetown, KY & a granddaughter she was especially close to: Solicity Paige Stiltner of Stopover, KY; 15 great-grandchildren and special friends: Brenda Burke & Joyce Campbell. 

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of the Good Shepperd Community Nursing Center.

Funeral serives will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday. August 3, 2019 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Meek, Odis Blankenship, & Denny Land officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sanson Family Cemetery, Majestic, KY.
