Juanita (Wagner) Dotson

Juanita “Wagner” Dotson, 78, of Phelps, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville KY.  She was born December 27, 1940 in Coleman, KY a daughter of the late Raymond Wagner & Jane “Coleman” Wagner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Tommy Dotson; two brothers: John & Raymond Wagner; and two sisters: Alice Sawyers & Tave Coleman.

Juanita really enjoyed cooking and tending to her flower garden.  In earlier years she had worked as a florist, specializing in funeral pieces.  She loved to draw and paint and was a very kind and generous lady.  She was a member of the Peter Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Those left to honor her memory include one son: Tommy Dotson II of Rogersville, TN; one daughter: Mary J. (Donnie) Rayburn of Phelps KY; one brother: Kenny (Patty Rose) Wagner of Phelps, KY; two sisters: Betty Jane Allen of Indiana & Feba Ann Johnson (Doug) of Indiana; one special niece: Patty Ann Evans of Phelps, Ky; two grandchildren: Nikole Denise Dotson of Winchester, KY & Jacob Rayburn of Phelps KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Elder Jeff Dotson and others officiating.

Burial will follow in the George Dotson Cemetery, Phelps, KY.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with special services at 7:00 P.M.
