Winston Maynard

William Winston Maynard, 61, of Harold’s Branch, Pikeville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Pikeville Medical Center.  He was born July 28, 1956 in Pikeville, a son of the late Bill & Verda Lou “Cole” Maynard.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Sara Maynard Berry; and one brother: Green Maynard. 

Winston was of the Christian faith and formerly worked for CSX Railroad.  He was a licensed pilot, and at one time, owned a Cessna 110 that he loved flying.  Winston loved his wife & family most of all.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife: Debra Maynard of Pikeville, KY; one daughter: Angela Lynn (Cody) Cantrell of Elkhorn City, KY; one brother: David Maynard of Pikeville, KY; four sisters: Sally (Larry) Owens of Belcher, KY, Ida Miller of Pikeville, KY, Billie (Eddie) Case of Meta, KY, Bonnie (Will) Carroll of Pikeville, KY; son-in-law: Dennis Berry of Harrodsburg, KY; three grandchildren: Cara Cantrell of Elkhorn City, KY, Devin Berry & Payton Berry both of Harrodsburg, KY; and a host of nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Pleasant Valley Community Church, Harold’s Branch, Pikeville, KY with Reverends Fred Klatka & Josh Blackburn officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the church until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Winston’s memory may be made directly to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
