Anna Mildred (Stanley) Casey

Anna Mildred “Stanley” Casey, age 66 of Virgie, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, at Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born August 20th, 1957, to Lyda Mae (Hathaway) Stanley in Woodman, KY.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded by her sister, Joyce Carol Stanley.

Anna was a believer of the Baptist faith and was recently baptized.  She was a proud homemaker and a wonderful foster mother.  Anna loved children and that was her greatest joy.

Anna is survived by two sons, Darrell (Cynthia) Wolford, and Michael Wolford; one daughter, Angela Wolford, all of Phyllis, KY; a brother, Jack (Diana) Stanley of Jacksonville, NC; four sisters, Shirley (Michael) Casey of Freeburn, KY, Sharon Ball of Columbia, KY, Sheila Hunt of Phyllis, KY, and Nancy Farmer of Allen, KY;  grandchildren, Sydney, Royce, Sadie, Grace, and Marcee all of Phyllis, KY.  Anna also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended friends, and family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8th, 2024 from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the Jones & West Funeral Home in Phelps, KY with special services beginning at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 12:00 noon.

Interment will conclude at G.W. Dotson Cemetery in Phelps, KY.
