David D.R. Coleman

David Rolan “D.R.” Coleman of Phelps, KY, departed this life Tuesday June 9, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center of Pikeville, KY. He was born July 26, 1973 in Detroit, MI. the son of the late Paul and Malona “Smith” Coleman.  He was 46 years old.

D.R. worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed working on cars and fishing. He was a deeply religious man who loved reading the bible and knew it from front to back.  He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors remaining to honor his memory include his loving partner; Erica Wolford of Phelps, KY, a son; Preston Paul Coleman, two daughters; Tessa Coleman of Phelps, KY and Clarissa (John) Collins of Freeburn, KY, a brother; Jason (Judy) Coleman of Phelps, KY, two sisters; Carrie Russell (Robert) of Louisville, KY and Amy Coleman of Pikeville, KY, and a granddaughter; Arionna Collins of Freeburn, KY. He is also survived by his fur baby, Roscoe, other family, neighbors, and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the Jones & West Funeral Home Chapel Sunday June 14, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. with Elders Jimmy Lee Smith and Jeff Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery of Phelps, KY.

Visitation will be at the chapel Friday and Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. each night.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in D.R.’s honor may be made to the funeral home to offset expenses.
