Erma “Mounts” Blankenship, 77, of Freeburn Ky, passed away February 14, 2021 at her residence. She was born October 15, 1944 in Freeburn, KY, the daughter of the late Wayne Mounts and Sister “Eldridge” Mounts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Blankenship, a son Ritchie Blankenship, daughter Merline Blankenship; four brothers, Eddie, Jake, Bullit and Hodge Mounts; six sisters, Merline Chapman, Matty Prater, Irene Gearles, Buella Norman, Elvie Mounts and Burel Dotson.
Erma was a Homemaker. She liked working in her garden and out in the yard. She enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren. She also loved going to Church. She was a member of the Freeburn Free Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by three sons, Ricky (Brenda) Blankenship-Chattaroy Wv, Nathan Blankenship- Freeburn Ky, & Ricky Blankenship (Pee Wee) Freeburn Ky; two daughters, Dreama (Dennis) Dotson, Majestic Ky, Della (Archie) Dotson, Freeburn Ky; four sisters, Ruby Workman, Freeburn Ky, Lille Bell, Beckley, Wv, Lynn Layne, Chicago IL, and Pearl Blankenship, Majestic, Ky; eight grandchildren, Matthew Dotson, Regina Presly, Amy Blackburn, Jacob Dotson, Kevin Dotson, Richard Blankenship, Michael Blankenship, and Natessa Blankenship; five great grandchildren, John Blackburn, Lilah Dotson, Akira Dotson, Leamon Blankenship, and Logan Justice; special friends, Shanna Lea Estep, Tag & Elain Dotson, and Quinn Estep.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Faith Tabernacle Church with Reverends Charles Meek, Kenny Chapman, & Charles Casey officiating.
Burial will follow in the Freeburn Community Cemetery, Barn Hollow.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday & Wednesday at the church with services nightly at 7:00 P.M.
