Heather Lynn Stump

Heather Lynn Stump of Phelps, KY passed away Saturday September 12, 2020 at her residence. She was born August 13, 1975 at Hurley, VA.  Heather was 45 years old. 

Heather was a loving homemaker who loved spending time with her grandson, Dominic Nolan Stump, who she loved so very much. She enjoyed cooking out and planning family activities such as birthday parties, etc. She liked getting out and stopping at flea markets and yard sales. Heather also enjoyed doing carpenter work which she had a talent for.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Hope Nicole Fields.

In addition to her grandson, survivors remaining to honor her memory include Terry L. Stump of Phelps, KY; her son: Terry Michael Stump of Phelps, KY and Shakila Smith of Georgetown, KY who are Dominic’s parents; five brothers: Dewayne Davis, Ricky (Katy) Davis and B.J. Davis all of Thomasville NC, Chris Shortridge of Richlands, VA and Jerimiah Hackney of New York; sisters: Crystal Renee Davis of Pikeville, KY and Susie Davis of Thomasville, NC, nieces: Bianna, Shanice, and Demetria Davis, and a nephew: Bradley Cervantes. She is also survived by her companion: Tennis Mounts of Freeburn, KY, two close friends: Travelene Bailey of Gilbert, WV and Kimberly Fonner of Indiana, and a host of other family and neighbors.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Jones & West Funeral Home with Reverend Chester Keithley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smith-Stump Cemetery, Smith Fork, Phelps, KY. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 10:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
