Jordan Belcher 83, of Phelps, KY passed away October 4th, 2023, at his residence. He was born March 12th, 1940, in Vulcan, WV, a son of the late Lacy and Mary “New” Belcher.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by his first wife, Ethel Belcher; sons James & Robert Lee Belcher; sisters Ruby Rife, Wanda Faye, and Sarah Ross; and a brother, Toby Belcher.
Jordan was of the Pentecostal faith and a coal miner in his younger years and a member of United Mine Workers of America. He enjoyed his leisure time outside on the swing and rocking chair. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was one of a kind.
Those surviving to cherish Jordan’s memory include his wife, Barbara Wolford Belcher; children, Debbie Hurley of Meta, KY, Rhonda (Carl) Chapman of NC, Jordan Belcher Jr. of Newtown, WV, Donna (Chris) Casey of Freeburn, KY, Hailey Wolford Belcher, Kiara Wolford Belcher, Kaitlyn & Jason McCoy; step-children, Kenneth (Laura) Wolford, Sabrina (Gary) Wolford, Amanda Wolford; grandchildren, James Michael Fields Belcher, Christina (Derek) Hatfield, Travis Steele, Debra Williamson, Heather White, Christopher Chapman, Jordin LeAnn Casey, Austin Wolford, Kayla Taylor, Kaylin Taylor, Tyler Wolford, McKenly Wolford; great grandchildren, Kaylin Hatfield, Devin Hatfield, Braylee Steele, Sadie Steele, Kaleb Williamson, Ryker Williamson, Braxton Maiers, Addie White, Skylar Wolford, Kayden Wolford, Jacelynn McCoy and Blaze McCoy; brothers, Dave Belcher of NC, Ance Belcher of Varney, WV; and one sister, Ninetta Chambers of Welch, WV.
The family would like to welcome friends on Sunday, October 8th, 2023, from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the Jones & West Funeral Home with special services at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 9th, 2023, in the chapel with pastors Chris Casey, Mitchell Bowling, and Kelly Baldridge officiating.
Interment will conclude at Blankenship Cemetery at Stopover, Kentucky with friends & family serving as pallbearers.
