Linda L. Dotson

Linda L. Dotson age 48, a life long resident of Phelps, Ky. entered into rest on

August 23, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born March 27, 1973 at Phelps, Ky., a daughter of the late Daniel Estep and Sadie May. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers Ronald, Lonnie, Elgie, Ogie, and Donald Estep.

Linda worked at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, and had worked for many years at Family Dollar Store both in Phelps, Ky. She had also worked at Kelloggs in Kimper, Ky. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Linda loved the beach, she loved to fish and swim. She was an animal lover and was devoted to her Boxer Bulldog “little girl”. She had worked at Good Shephard for many years and considered the staff and residents  her family.  Linda was a well known and loved member of this community because the love she had for people radiated from her. She always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone she came in contact with.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ralph Dotson of Phelps, Ky. brothers, Don Estep of Columbus, OH. and  Audy (Joyce) Estep, Phelps, Ky. Sisters Pauline Taylor, Fedscreek, Ky. Sandra Hunt, Peggy Estep, Debbie (Gary) Duty, and Sabrina (Mark) Duty all of Phelps, and Brenda (Steven) Mounts, Alabama. She also leaves a special friend Kayla Daniels and the residents of Good Shephard of whom she thought of as family. She also leaves nieces Kenesha, Katelyn, and  Kimberely, nephews Chris, Ray and Greg.

Funeral services will be Saturday at the Jones & West Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 P.M. with Ronnie Hurley, Ervin Hurley, and Charles Dotson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday at 7:00 p.m. with nightly services. Burial will be at the Dotson Cemetery at Long Fork , Kimper, Ky.
