Rosa Lea (Hurley) Wolford

Rosa Lea “Hurley” Wolford 71, of Phelps, Kentucky passed away October 27, 2023, at Pikeville Medical Center. 

She was born on June 25th,  1952, in Argo, Kentucky, loving daughter of the late Elize and Okie “Mounts” Hurley.

Rosa was also preceded by her husband, John Wesley Wolford; a daughter, Debra Diane Wolford; brother, Earl Lee Hurley, and great granddaughter, Lacie Marie Allen.

Rosa was of the Baptist faith.  In her spare time, she enjoyed working puzzles and watching tv.  She will be remembered for the love that she had for her family and grandchildren. 

Rosa is survived by her children, Kenneth “Pete” (Willa) Wolford of Phelps, KY, Franklin “Bug” Wolford of Stopover, KY, Linda S. Wolford (Tony Dotson) of Stopover, KY; brother, Virgil Hurley of Grundy, VA; nieces, Brittany Young, and Stephanie Baker both of Grundy, VA; grandchildren, Jordan (Kayla) Dotson of Stopover, KY, Cody (Krissy) Wolford of Phelps, KY, Chelsa Dawn (Jake) Allen of TN, Tyler Honaker of Phelps, KY, Shawn Mayhorn of Georgetown, KY, and Gregory Honaker of Georgetown, KY; great grandchildren, Kayslee Madison Dotson, Walker Thomas Allen, Aisley Dawn Wolford, Gracie Skye Wolford, Laikynn Rae Wolford, Brooklyn Compton, Caden Compton, and Erica Allen. 

The family would like to welcome friends from 6:00-9:00 P.M. Wednesday & Thursday evening beginning November 1st, 2023, at the Jones & West Funeral Home in Phelps, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 3rd, 2023, in the chapel with Pastors Robert Coleman and Delbert Hurley officiating.  Friends and family will serve as Pallbearers.

Interment will follow at the Blankenship Cemetery in Stopover, KY.
