Wendell G. Dotson

Wendell G. Dotson age 64 of Merrimac, WV. departed this life on September 8, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born December 22, 1957, at Grundy, Va. a son of the late Zenas Dotson and Myrtle Dotson. He is also preceded by a brother Zenas Dotson Jr.

He is survived by his daughters Crystal ( Dan) Kinder of Merrimac, WV. and Danielle Dotson of TN.

Brothers, Raymond Dotson of Lexington, KY, and Kenneth Dotson of NC. Sisters Gleda (Kenneth) Mounts , Matewan, WV., Dyann Dotson, NC. and Abigail (Tim) Dotson of OH. Grandchildren Christopher Dotson, Kirsten Dotson, Madison Tanner Woolum, and Brooke Dotson and great grandchild Realynn Evertt. Lifelong friend Wanda Blankenship, and caregivers Melissa (Michael) Prater and Rebecka (Randal) Layne.

Wendell enjoyed riding his four-wheeler, and fishing. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and always made them laugh. He liked Nascar and chicken fights. Christmas was his favorite time and he looked forward to it every year.  He was of the Christian faith.

The family will began receiving friends at 6:00 PM at the Faith Mission Church at McCarr, KY. on Friday September 9, 2022. There will be special service at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Saturday September 10 , 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with Jimmy Fields and Barry Lester officiating, interment will be at the Dotson and McCoy Family Cemetery at Merrimac, WV.
